Open city

As urban scholars who investigate the human cost of gentrification, we believe it is essential to connect diverse voices into coalitions to fight for a city that is open and accessible for all.

Together with urban geographer Brian Doucet (EUC) and urban sociologist Marguerite van den Berg (UvA), I wrote about the recent resistance against housing plans and gentrification in Rotterdam. Read the article in The Guardian here.
